All Good People Here by Ashley Flowers

I’m a Crime Junkie so had to pick up Ashley’s first book. Not only is she a fantastic story teller when it comes to true crime stories and journalism on her many podcasts, girl can write a novel!

I’m Thinking of Ending Things by Iain Reid

I watched this movie well before I knew it was a book. If you like psychological thrillers then this one is for you. You’ll leave this book confused, astounded, and thinking you missed some critical pieces. Can’t wait to read it again!

Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison

You just have to read Toni Morrison. Every novel is a masterpiece.

Fuzz by Mary Roach

A tour through human-animal interactions in our world and the ways we work to manage these encounters. Didn’t know anything about this topic but Mary Roach could write about anything and I’d read it. I learn so much from her!

An Immense World by Ed Yong

My dearest friend got me this book and I am eternally grateful. Though its quite dense, I couldn’t put it down and took the time to really digest every word. Animals are amazing and this book will leave you looking at the natural world in a way you hadn’t before. Nature is incredible.

When a Killer Calls by John Douglas and Mark Olshaker

A rec from the women at My Favorite Murder that deep dives into a case they covered. What a wild story of a murder from the 80s.

Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin

I didn’t love this nearly as much as the mainstream bookclubbers did but it was a solid story of friendship through lifes ups and downs

And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie

Iconic. A classic. There’s no one quite like Agatha.

Whisper Down the Lane by Clay Mcleod Chapman

Though slightly fictionalized if you’ve ever wondered what it must’ve felt like to go through the satanic panic of the 90’s… couldn’t put this one down!

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Got to read an excerpt of this book at my friend’s wedding ceremony and it was so delightful re-reading this book in adulthood. A lovely commentary on life and the circumstances that lead us to where we are.
